  2013 Canada Summer Jobs Funding 

151 students were hired in Kingston and the Islands this summer as a result of the federal funding received through the Canada Summer Jobs Initiative. This amounts to a total of $414,934 in funding, providing for a total of 40,015 work hours and 101 different projects in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

 

  Residential Schools Financial Compenstation Deadline 

The deadline for former Indian Residential School students to apply for financial compensation is September 19, 2012. This important program serves to address the damaging legacy left by this schooling system. More information can be found here

 

  Closing of Cashier Serivice at CRA Office 

The cashier service at the Canada Revenue Agency office in Kingston at 31 Hyperion Court will be closing in October 2012.
